As of Sunday afternoon, June 12th, what has been named the Monument Wild Fire is burning in the Coronado National Memorial and directly north and east of that area. As of Sunday, June 19th the fire has already damaged over 20000 acres of land. Shelter Information:
6:00 PM 6/25/2011 The shelter operations at Buena High School is now closed. The Red Cross is offering Family Recovery Services. Please visit the Red Cross at Buena, located inside the library or at the Cochise County Complex, 4001 E. Foothills Drive. The hours of operation are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, contact number: 520-515-2818
Red Cross and other agencies will be providing aid at an Individual Assistance Center opening Friday, June 24:
• Where: County Complex, Hwy 92 and Foothills Dr.
• When: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Friday, Saturday, and Monday (not Sunday), June 24 - 27.
• The purpose is to help people who cannot return home due to the wildfire.
