As of Sunday, June 19th the fire has already damaged over 20000 acres of land. We appreciate the outpouring of support and offers of material goods, but at this time, we're not equipped to accept such donations. If you want to give clothing, personal items, or household goods, etc., please check with your local fire district or other agency of choice to ask if they can accept the gift and how it would be used.
The City of Sierra Vista appreciates the many offers of support from the community.
Those who wish to donate may want to consider gift cards to local stores so that evacuees can purchase items for their own needs.

Garden Place Suites is offering rooms for victims at a negotiated rate of $85 a night. Kitchenettes and laundry are available for guests as well as a complimentary breakfast. No pets are allowed. Someone will be at the front desk 24 hours a day, seven days a a week.
Holiday Inn Express is taking evacuees and pets at a negotiated rate of $75 dollars a night for a standard room and $99 a night for a suite. Laundry and complimentary breakfast are available.
Evacuees and those affected by the fire can also pick up tickets for a free meal at the Golden Corral. Those affected by the fire can sign up with the American Red Cross at the Apache Middle School in Sierra Vista, where they will receive meal tickets to the Golden Corral.
Walmart is still accepting donations. Bins are set up in the store for items to be purchased and placed in. All items donated at Walmart will be donated to the firefighters.
Garden Canyon U-Store-It: The firm is offering free storage of any size to Monument fire victims. Call Jason at 458-0888 for more information.
The SouthEastern Arizona Community Action Program is disseminating motel/hotel vouchers for those affected by the Monument Fire. Fire victims/evacuees may call the Bisbee office at 432-5401 or go to the evacuation center at Apache Middle School in Sierra Vista.
Port Royal and Mountain Vista Apartment complexes have a limited number of fully furnished apartments available for up to five days at no charge for fire victim evacuees. Call Jennifer at Port Royal 520-458-8600 or Tracy at Mountain Vista 520-459-6411 for more information.
Participating Marriott International hotels in Arizona are offering deeply discounted rates for victims of Arizona’s wildfires. The rates range from $49-$95 and are available at select Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn by Marriott and TownePlace Suites by Marriott. Jim Doherty says that Tombstone hopes to open its Senior Center for displaced people from the Monument Fire. In addition, there is a plan to open the Tombstone Community Food Bank to those same people as soon as approval is given from the Tucson Community Food Bank. Saturday morning senior center personnel will try to work with local motels regarding what they can do to accommodate more victims. At this point, that plan has not been finalized.
Arizona’s Loews Ventana Canyon will honor a $79 per night room rate for evacuees of the Monument and Antelope Fires in Southern Arizona. The rate is available June 17-June 26. For reservations, evacuees should call the hotel directly at (520) 299-2020. Valid I.D. with proof of residence in the Cochise County/Sierra Vista area will be required upon check-in. Based upon availability. Restrictions may apply. Qwest announced that customers impacted by the Arizona wild fires can activate Emergency Call Forwarding for one month free of charge. This service allows customers to receive their home or business phone calls on an alternative number, helping them keep in touch with family and business associates.

“Evacuation Clean-Up Crews” offered by Veritas Christian Community School (parents and teens) is offering assistance to those evacuated from their homes due to the Monument Fire. Assistance is offered to the elderly, those with physical limitations, or single parents needing help in general housecleaning, including removing spoiled food and cleaning refrigerators/freezers, general housecleaning, etc. A team of 3-4 people will come to your home for approximately two hours and will provide all cleaning supplies.
