The Bisbee Farmers Market Report for August 27, 2011

Well, we are quickly approaching the end of summer but the heat has not let up. There are still plenty of bountiful selections at the market that will help you create nice cooling meals at your dinner table.

As a reminder, beginning in September - which is next week - the hours for the market change to 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM.

Examples of Cooling Meals for your Dinner Table

Cucumbers, tomatoes, and sweet onions layered on some fresh sprouts with a delicious olive oil and tarragon vinegar dressing.

Creamy potato salad with extra parsley thrown in plus some sour cream for added flavor.

Spaghetti squash steamed and covered with some great pesto.

Hamburger steaks from some healthy Sky Island Brand Beef, add fresh roasted green chilies which are available at every market, some of Bobby's sweet onions, and simmer it all together.
